Meet Brooke

Brooke.png

Brooke Erickson loves to chat. In fact, her love for talking landed her in Communications and Outreach roles in the public sector for the first 15 years of her career. After working at Toronto and Region Conservation, York Region, and Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board, Brooke saw that the YES Shelter for Youth and Families (YES) needed a fundraising person.

Ready for a change and feeling very motivated to help her community, Brooke made the leap from public communications and outreach to fundraising for YES. After 3 years in the role, Brooke has developed a $1M/year fundraising program and has never felt so fulfilled in her job. Learning every day about fundraising, non-profit management and team leadership, all while working to end youth and family homelessness in Peterborough is a perfect fit for this babbling Brooke and she feels very lucky to be able to do this important work.
