The Rise of Fractional Fundraisers (and what it means for you)

Cindy Wagman, CEO Cindy Wagman Consulting/The Fractional Fundraising Movement

This is a virtual event.

Fundraising staffing models are falling short and failing to serve organizations and fundraisers alike. Especially for small organizations. Hiring in-house on a budget results in hiring inexperienced fundraisers. This means more work, management, and stress for an already overworked ED (who doesn’t know enough about fundraising to manage said fundraiser).

This results in high turnover and inconsistent (if any) fundraising success. In other words - more stress, less money, and time wasted. But traditional consultants aren’t a great fit either - organizations strapped for resources don’t need advice (no matter how good that advice is) - they need hands-on implementation.

Fractional Fundraising allows small organizations to get the experienced strategic oversight with day-to-day implementation they need, all within a budget that they can afford, transforming human capital options for small organizations. The other great benefit is that mid-career fundraisers can work as Fractional Fundraisers, being their own boss, earning more, and working less than if they were in-house. With the added benefit of working with small organizations they love.
